Pressure transducers

The pressure transducers made by STS Sensors Sirnach AG are intended for applications in the most diverse industrial measurement and control systems and they are based on the piezoresistive principle. Pressure transducers must be provided with a high quality encapsulation in stainless steel or titanium with optional terminal for connection according to purpose for which they are supposed to be used.

The electronic circuit inside the encapsulation contains a supply voltage stabilizer with surge protection and a temperature compensated output in the form of unified analogue signals or digital data transmission by means of the communication line. In this case, it concerns fully digital sensors not only with data transmission, but also with calibration of the measuring range by the customers themselves right in the place of installation.

Thanks to a small hysteresis and very low deformations of the diaphragm, the pressure transducers made by STS Sensors AG are stable in the long run and produce high usable signals and very high measurement reproducibility. They are predestined for application in demanding conditions where they are protected against effects of the measured medium by encapsulation in the housing provided with a separating diaphragm whereas the pressure from the diaphragm to the sensor element is transmitted by means of a non-conductive liquid – silicone oil. It is a case of highly precise transducers of sophisticated constructions capable of bearing a triple pressure overload. These pressure transducers are also manufactured in a combined version with thermometers or possibly with a conductivity sensing element.
